As we look back at another year of great songs performed at 77 West Main, we offer an evening of original songs performed by three accomplished songwriters:

LORI BONATI failed an audition for the Ted Mack Amateur Hour at the age of 3, but she didn’t let that stop her. She went on to sing in choirs, taught herself to play guitar, wrote her first song while in her 20s. She grew up listening to tunes from the Great American Songbook like Sweet Lorraine, the song she was named for. She writes funny and serious songs whenever the muse inspires her.

JOE LaMAY has been writing songs since 1968. Several songs have been performed and recorded by other musicians. His songs reflect the people and places he has encountered on his life’s journey. He aspires to make his next song better than the last.

DOUG WATERMAN left graduate school to be a street singer in New York City. There, and in the bars and clubs of the 1980s, he began to take the craft of songwriting seriously. Later he taught songwriting in the schools and in adult workshops in NYC and the Rochester area. He has one CD, Truly Hairy Fairy Tales. He and his wife Judy are living happily ever after in Rochester's South Wedge.

The evening starts at 6:30PM with our ever amazing OPEN MIC hosted by TIM RYBINSKI - followed by the songwriters concert at 8PM.
